What personal data we collect and why we collect it
When you make a request to book an appointment you will be required to provide your full name, telephone number, address, postcode and email address. We will also need information about your age and general health in order for your treatment to go ahead.
We request this information to ensure that it is safe for us to perform your treatments. This information is also required by our insurers The Association of Beauty Therapists (ABT), who require that this information is kept on file for 7 years after you have received you treatment/s from us. Your information has been requested and will be held on the lawful basis that the provision of a treatment from us is in relation to a contractual obligation. Your telephone number and email address will be used to confirm and remind you of your appointments.
Any refusal to provide any of the information mentioned above will mean that we will NOT be able to provide you with any services.
Marketing
From time to time we may send you information about products and services that we feel may be of relevance to you. You will be asked to consent if you would like to receive this information. Should you no longer require this information you are able to notify us by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of your email, replying to your text or in writing to bookings@comfortshealthandbeauty.co.uk
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information provided in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
Your personal information will be held securely for 7 years following your treatment with us.
What rights you have over your data

In the unfortunate event of a data breach you will be notified if any of the information effect you in any way. We will also inform the Information commissioners office of the breach in question. We will identify the breaches and look at way that this can be avoided in the future.
