Huge sigh of relief, we can keep calm and carry on!

It has been an emotional couples of months. Our first coronavirus pandemic here in the UK  and I trust that you and your families remain in good health. Many of us have kept in touch during this time and I am looking forward to treating you all again once this is all over and done with.

I am planning to reopen sometime in July, Fingers crossed everything goes to plan!!!   I want to ensure that whilst I am operating, the risk of transmitting the virus is minimal. Until there is a vaccine or covid-19 become extinct, it will not be possible to guarantee anything with certainty.

In order to be successful, I need the assistance from my clients and have therefore implemented some new procedures to limit this risk.

What are the coronavirus guidelines?

Prior to booking any appointments you will need to confirm that you and no members of your household are exhibiting any covid 19 symptoms* or have been within the last 14 days.

covid-19 certification from barbicide

If you have been advised to shield you will need to wait until restrictions are lifted before making an appointment.

Symptoms* experienced prior to your appointment or within the cancellation period will require you to reschedule your appointments for 14 days as a precaution.

You will need to complete a client registration form before the start of your treatment, this will be sent via text.

Both parties will be expected to wash their hands at the start of the appointment.

For nail appointments you have the option to wear your own mask or face covering.  You have the option to purchase a face shield for your own peace of mind. The cost of the shield (£3) will be added to your treatment. They are reusable and can be used for future appointments.

Your therapist will wear a face shield or safety googles and mask for the duration of your appointment.

You will need to provide your own towels to cover the face hole on the couch for massage. Coverings will be provided for added protection. if you wish to use your own towels for other treatments you are welcomed to do so.

I will continue to uphold my high levels of hygiene by continuing to exhibit high standards of serialisation and disinfectant for reusable tools and devices and to continue to use disposable gloves and nail files for each treatment.

You will be asked to clean your mobile phone with a medical cleaning wipes if you feel that you are unable to refrain from using it during your treatment.

Symptoms and Payments

7 days after your treatment you will be contacted via text to check that you are not exhibiting any symptoms of covid-19.  If you have been told that you have come in contact with anyone that has a confirmed case of covid-19 please let me know so that I can monitor my symptoms and alert past clients if necessary.

At this time appointments may be cancelled at short notice if I develop any symptoms.

Automatic transfer via mobile banking or Paypal is preferable. You do have the option to pay via credit or debit card.  If you need to pay by cash you will be required to put the exact amount into an envelope.  No change will be available at this time.

It will take some time adjusting to these new enhanced procedures.  They have been introduced to ensure that we are able to continue to operate as safely as possible.

I look forward to treating you soon, and cannot wait to get back to what I do best.
